D. Jeff Burton (BS, MS, PE, CIH [1973 to 2012]) has degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial hygiene. He is the author of the popular workbooks and self-directed study programs in ventilation, IAQ, and occupational health and safety carried on this website. Jeff is a member of AIHA, ACGIH, and ASHRAE and has served as President (1997-1998) and a member of the Board of Directors of AIHA. He has been a member of the ACGIH Industrial Ventilation Committee and the ANSI Z9.5 Subcommittee for Lab Ventilation. He is currently Chair of the ANSI Z9.2 Subcommittee on Industrial Ventilation, ANSI Z9.8 on HVAC systems and ANSI Z9.10 on Dilution Ventilation. Over the past thirty-five years, Jeff has worked on hundreds of projects related to industrial ventilation and indoor air quality. His onsite tailored training courses are legendary.
